Terms of Use

Sihimoge ("we", "us") runs sihimoge.com, a free noticeboard where residents of Shivamogga and nearby areas post and browse classified ads. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines, which form part of this agreement.

1. Who may use Sihimoge

  • You must be 18 years or older. The service is not for children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
  • One person, one account. Give accurate information and keep your password safe.
  • You are responsible for everything posted from your account.

2. Our role

Sihimoge is an intermediary. We host listings; we are not the buyer or the seller, we do not verify items, we take no payment, and we are not a party to any deal you make. All dealings, payments, inspections and delivery are strictly between the users involved.

3. What you may not post

You must not post anything that is unlawful, misleading, infringing, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or that invades privacy, and you must not post any item whose sale or advertising is restricted under Indian law. The Community Guidelines list the prohibited categories (weapons, drugs, tobacco, alcohol, wildlife articles, human organs, sex-determination services, "miracle cures", counterfeit goods, government IDs, real-money gambling, and more). We may remove any content and suspend or ban any account for a breach, with or without notice.

4. Content you post

You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a licence to store, display and distribute it on Sihimoge so the service can work. You confirm you have the right to post it and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.

5. Removal, grievances and legal orders

Anyone can report content using the report button. We aim to acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days. We will remove content within 36 hours of a valid court order or government direction, and within 24 hours for a complaint about non-consensual intimate imagery. 6. Your data

We handle personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. You can download a copy of your data from your account settings and can delete your account there; some records are retained for a limited period where the law requires.

7. No warranty; limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and free of charge. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from dealings with other users, or from content posted by others. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

8. Suspension and changes

We may change the service or these Terms. Material changes will be notified on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or withdraw the service at any time.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Shivamogga, Karnataka have jurisdiction, subject to any consumer-protection rights you have to approach a forum near you.
